Internet search giant Google has been named the most reputable company in Ireland for the second year in a row in the second annual Ireland RepTrak 2011 study.
Cadbury, Kellogg's, Nokia and Volkswagen were the next most reputable firms, in the results Corporate Reputations announced today.
An Post emerged as having the best reputation for an indigenous Irish company.
The study's top 20 high-performing Irish companies include Smyth's Toys, Easons, Arnotts, Dairygold and the Irish Dairy Board.
The Ireland RepTrak 2011 study looked at 119 of the largest organisations in Ireland. To be included in the study, the companies had to have been included in The Irish Times Top 1,000 companies report; have a turnover of more than €120m in revenue; be recognisable by the general public in Ireland; and be "somewhat" or "very" familiar to the general public.
