What do a comedy duo from Bergen, Norway, an elephant with a Cork accent, students from Coláiste Lurgan and Miley Cyrus have in common? They’re all stars of some of the most-watched videos by Irish users on YouTube in 2013.

Co Wexford company Sonru is entering Canada via a reseller agreement with Workshift Systems Corporation, a provider of technology management, design infrastructure, support and business consulting.
Sonru’s automated video interviewing solution works by recruiters posting an interview online (specifying the time allowed to read and answer each question) and automatically sending an email invitation to relevant candidates. Using a webcam, candidates answer the questions set, with recruiters then free to review the video responses at their convenience.
The technology has already streamlined and improved the screening process for recruiters and hiring managers of blue-chip companies in Ireland, the UK and Europe and now Sonru is going to capitalise on Workshift's network of clients to offer its product to recruiters across Canada.
Fergal O'Byrne, CEO, Sonru.com, commented: “Workshift is a very enthusiastic adopter of new and innovative technologies and video interviewing fits perfectly with its existing product suite."
Jacqueline Gilna -Turton CEO at Workshift Systems, added: "Sonru's automated video interviewing solution meets key elements of green technology, provides immediate efficiencies and economies of scale, is very user friendly, multilingual and transcends geographic challenges."
