Twisted Pixel was founded in 2006 and is located in Texas, US. The company has developed games exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PC.

The team of developers will join Microsoft Studios to further work on the Xbox 360 platform.

“It is really exciting for us to solidify our long-standing relationship with Microsoft Studios, which we consider to be the leader in digital distribution and creating new innovations in gaming, like Xbox LIVE and Kinect,” said Michael Wilford, co-founder and chief executive officer of Twisted Pixel.

“As part of the family of Microsoft Studios, we look forward to bringing even bigger and richer experiences to Xbox and Twisted Pixel fans around the world.”

Twisted Pixel joins game developers Rare and Lionhead Studios within this unit, who were previously acquired by Microsoft.
