Facebook's IPO broadcasting live from NASDAQ
Watch Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg ring the bell from the company's HQ in Menlo Park, California, to start the day's trading on Wall Street.
Almost 2,500 viewers have already tuned in at sweet anticipation for what will undoubtedly turn out to be the world's biggest IPO. No doubt, things will get boring quickly for non-investment types as the real business of buying and selling begins, but first, as is tradition on Wall Street, comes the bell-ringing to mark the occasion.
Unorthodox as always, Zuckerberg has decided not to ring the bell in the New York City offices, choosing instead to relay the event from Facebook HQ in California. It means an early start for the Facebookers who've already been up all night, but who could sleep anyway in their position?
