James Beer, outgoing executive vice-president and CFO of Symantec

IT security solutions provider Symantec’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer James Beer is leaving the company to take up the CFO role at healthcare services and information technology company McKesson Corporation.

Beer, who has served Symantec as CFO since 2006, begins his new job on 9 October.

Andrew ‘Drew’ Del Matto, Symantec’s senior vice-president and chief accounting officer, will serve as the company’s acting CFO, while Symantec considers both internal and external candidates to replace Beer permanently.
