Cape Clear sweeps into Latin America

Irish web-services player Cape Clear has forged a partnership with Brazilian IT consultancy Escala Informatica in order to crack a growing market for web services in Latin America.

Under the terms of the deal, Escala will resell and provide implementation services around Cape Clear’s enterprise service bus (ESB) architecture to corporate customers across Latin America.

The deal will enable Cape Clear – an Iona spin-off founded by Anrai O’Toole – to bring the benefits of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) and the Cape Clear ESB to companies throughout the region, providing them with ready access to the very latest advances in standards-based software integration.

The ESB is a service-oriented integration platform built on XML and web services standards, which enables the rapid integration of applications and data both inside and outside the firewall. Cape Clear claims it has created the first true ESB that radically reduces the time, cost, and complexity of integrating IT systems and delivering new services online.

“We’re seeing widespread adoption of the Cape Clear ESB across every industry and geography,” commented Joe Voica, president, Americas at Cape Clear.

“To support that growth, we are focused on working closely with key partners who can help us to bring the benefits of our ESB to their clients. Escala has a long and successful track record helping leading organisations in Brazil make the most of their IT investment.

“By building a close relationship with Escala we can deliver those same organisations with all the advantages of the ESB, namely cost-effective IT integration and the delivery of new services over the internet. As demand for our products continues to grow Cape Clear is committed to putting in place a global network of partners that will help us continue our aggressive growth and expansion,” Voica said.
