IDA chief predicts 10,000 digital jobs next year

6 Dec 2010

Between 9,000 and 10,000 jobs have been forecast for Ireland over the next year as a direct result of foreign investment.

According to an article on Breakingnews.ie, IDA Ireland chief executive Barry O’Leary said the jobs would be created and they would mostly exist in the field of digital media.

O’Leary said direct foreign investment is growing continually and that the increased amount of investment this year has beaten the past six or seven years.

He maintained that the jobs would be created in the digital arena and that there were signs that manufacturing was “picking up” once more.
