Digital media sector is booming, job seekers urged

14 Jul 2011

A new industry-linked digital media programme, WebElevate, will be launched next Tuesday, 19 July, to help plug Ireland’s digital skills gap while supporting job seekers to forge new careers in Ireland’s booming digital media sector.

To be launched by Digital Skills Academy in partnership with Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), WebElevate, a level 8 programme, will be focused on providing job seekers with skills for employment in digital media, in areas such as mobile application development, web commerce, global digital marketing and web video production.

Part of the Government’s Springboard initiative, WebElevate offers job seekers the opportunity to take up a part-time programme in higher education and training, free of charge.
