Maurice Whelan has been appointed head of customer services at Sage Ireland with responsibility for the operational and strategic function of the Customer Services Division. Prior to joining Sage, Whelan was general manager, customer service and individual business with VHI Healthcare. He holds qualifications in marketing, hospital and health service administration, and has completed the AMP in Insead Paris. Whelan is a fellow of the Contact Centre Management Association of Ireland (CCMA) and is currently vice-chair of CCMA. He is also vice-president of ECCCO (The European Confederation of Contact Centre Organisations).
