Galway hurling icon Joe Connolly has been appointed as a non-executive director to H+A Marketing + PR, an award-winning marketing and PR agency with offices in Cork and Galway. Well-known in sporting and business circles, Connolly is best known for captaining Galway to the All-Ireland hurling title in 1980, the county’s first All-Ireland title since 1923. He later delivered one of the most famous acceptance speeches of all time.
Connolly’s industry experience is wide-ranging encompassing sales, project management and motivational speaking. He spent 20 years at the helm of Connolly Sports before setting up Joe Connolly Properties. A graduate of University College Galway, Connolly currently sits on the boards of TG4, Galway Bay FM and Galway Hospice Foundation.
