US research firm to create 50 jobs in Galway

The positions will be filled over the next five years

A leading US market research firm is set to create 50 new jobs in Galway in research and management.

Announced by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation Batt O’Keeffe TD, the US firm – Industrial Info Resources (IIR) – will establish a European operations centre in Ballybrit Business Park.

The positions are expected to be filled over the next five years. IIR, based in the state of Texas, carries out in-depth market research in energy-related industries worldwide, as well as others, and offers management solutions in the sectors.

Market intelligence databases

The headquarters in Galway will develop subscription-based industrial market intelligence databases on the European market and sell IIR’s global capabilities to European clients. There will be research and management positions available.

"IIR’s investment in Galway reinforces the western region’s growing reputation as a location for high-end business services operations," O'Keeffe said.
