CRM software player Commence brings 20 new jobs to Dublin

27 Oct 2011

Commence Corporation, a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software, is establishing Commence International in Dublin. The IDA Ireland client company will create 20 jobs over two years as it expands its operations internationally.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, TD, welcomed the announcement that Commence International will be responsible for the sales and service of the company’s popular web-based CRM software. Commence CRM is targeted at mid-size companies and small enterprises and is a popular alternative to competitive products, such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.com.

“This is yet another example of a dynamic, fast-growing company deciding to locate its international headquarters in Dublin,” Bruton said.

“This is becoming a real trend, and shows that we are developing a genuinely world-class hub of internet companies in the city. I am determined to build on this success not only to attract ever-more dynamic and pioneering multinational operations to Ireland, but also crucially ensure that local start-ups can benefit from their presence here to create an indigenous engine of growth.”

Commence International will be spearheaded by Noel Shannon, a software industry specialist with more than 30 years of experience and a team of professional sales and support personnel.

“Commence CRM is ideal for the European market,” says Shannon. “Businesses here are looking for a CRM solution that offers a comprehensive set of features, can be deployed rapidly and is easy to use. Commence CRM is all of that and more.”

IDA Ireland CEO Barry O’Leary said: “Commence Corporation complements the growing cluster of early growth multinational technology companies which have recently established international operations in Dublin. The companies are attracted to Ireland by the wealth of management talent and depth of skills available. Many of these early growth companies have a European marketing and sales function alongside technology development.”

In addition to offering applications for sales, marketing, contact management and customer service, Commence CRM includes a document library, project management, analytical reporting and seamless integration with email programmes such as Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Lotus Notes and Apple Mac mail. Commence CRM also supports any internet-enabled mobile devices, including BlackBerry, iPhone, Droid and tablet PCs. This enables customers to access their data at any time and from anywhere.

Customer data is stored at a data centre in Reading, England, via a strategic partnership with Rack Space. This provides European customers with solid performance and scalability and the comfort of knowing their data is a protected.
