Codecademy, a site where users can learn and teach how to code, is expanding its offerings to now include courses in Python.
Last August, Codecademy brought users an easy introduction to learning JavaScript, HTML, CSS and jQuery. Now, the lessons available on the site are becoming more advanced, as Codecademy has begun offering courses in Python, a high-level but readable programming language that is popular among novice programmers.
This comes in response to requests from the Codecademy community, eager to learn the language used by many developers worldwide and, as with all Codecademy courses, the step-by-step lessons have also been created by users.
Codecademy Labs has been testing the course based on the Python 2.7 syntax since January. The lessons are now available for free to anyone visiting the site, and more languages are set to follow, such as Ruby and PHP.
