WANdisco plc establishes new software development centre in Belfast – 36 new jobs
Thirty-six new jobs are to be created in Belfast through the establishment of a new software development centre by collaboration software player WANdisco plc. Invest Northern Ireland has supported the investment to the tune of stg£360,000.
The investment will effectively double WANdisco’s existing software engineering capacity.
WANdisco is listed on the London Stock Exchange as WAND and is a provider of Apache Subversion-based software and services for the enterprise.
The company’s products include uberSVN - the new open ALM platform for Subversion, Subversion MultiSite, Subversion Access Control and Subversion Clustering.
Fortune Global 1000 companies such as AT&T, Intel, Honda, Nokia, Juniper Networks and Motorola rely on WANdisco's Subversion solutions for enterprise-class performance, scalability and 24/7 availability.
“We are aiming to achieve substantial growth within the next three years and the Belfast centre will play a critical role in supporting that growth,” David Richards, WANdisco chairman and CEO explained.
“When we came to market we made a number of specific commitments, one of which was to invest in developing products that could help us move into exciting new markets and geographies.
“The establishment of our new centre in Belfast is a clear example of our continued delivery on these promises,” Richards added.
