Having hired 140 people last year, technology integration specialist Kainos is on track to create 110 new positions this year, the company said, adding that total recent orders have exceeded Ä20m in value and revenues generated by the business in Ireland alone increased more than 30pc.
The company said it now has 60 openings for skilled software engineers and other IT professionals.
The company, which has offices in Belfast, Dublin and London, has added 40 new customers and 12 major new contracts of which eight are export agreements.
The company is pursuing an ambitious three-year growth plan which will see Kainos double its annual revenues and further extend its market reach in the UK, mainland Europe and the US.
Earlier this year, Kainos announced plans to create more than 60 new software engineering and consultancy jobs across its offices in Dublin, Belfast and Derry.
The company has strategic relationships with HP/Autonomy and SaaS provider Workday.
Major UK NHS hospitals have selected and implemented its next-generation Evolve electronic medical record technology this year.
Kainos has won contracts for transformational projects with Bank of Ireland, AIB, Aviva and New Ireland Assurance.
Public-sector business includes a large engagement for the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
The company is also an approved supplier of specialist cloud services on the UK government’s CloudStore, which allows the UK public sector to obtain cloud computing services on a pay-as-you-go basis.
“Despite tough market conditions, Kainos has clearly struck a chord with customers who need to cut through the hype about the latest technology, and solve real business problems today,” Kainos’ CEO Brendan Mooney explained.
“From cash-strapped hospitals and local government departments to large financial institutions, clients are becoming choosier about who they trust and how they spend their money, which brings them to our door.
“With 25 years’ experience of complex integration projects and meeting real business needs, Kainos is able to harness the latest technology to give customers what they really need. That typically means helping them to work smarter, faster - whichever technology best helps them achieve that,” Mooney added.
