Ireland's Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton, TD

Ireland's Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton, TD, has revealed that financial and tax incentives will be on offer to employers that take people off the Live Register.

Burton was speaking in Limerick as she briefed employers about the financial and tax incentives being implemented by the Department of Social Protection to get unemployed people back to work.

A series of briefings will take place across Ireland to inform employers how they can benefit from taking on those that are currently unemployed. This includes exemption of the 10.75pc PRSI scheme and tax breaks from Revenue on salaries that they pay.
