MGS.Mfg to establish new facility in Leixlip, creating 150 jobs

14 Dec 2012

Adding to the cluster of companies already based in Leixlip, Co Kildare, plastics manufacturer MGS.Mfg Group has announced plans to establish a manufacturing centre in the town, creating 150 jobs in the process.

The 150-person manufacturing facility will be housed in an existing 45,000 sq-foot building on the Hewlett-Packard campus in Leixlip, and will further develop and build on the company’s operations in Europe.

“We are satisfied that now is the right time to establish a new polymer injection moulding and tooling facility in Leixlip, Co Kildare,” said Michael Cummins, general manager of MGS.Mfg. “This facility will support our high-end customer base in both Ireland, where Hewlett-Packard manufacturing operations are one of MGS’s key partners, and other European markets. We are pleased with the talented workforce in the region and to join the many premier multinational companies that call Ireland home.”

MGS.Mfg plans to invest more than US$12m in the facility over three years. The announcement was made by Ireland’s Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, TD, today, and the development is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
