Search, social and mobile advertising player Marin Software Inc is to create 35 new jobs in Dublin over the next three years.

The IDA Ireland-supported investment will perform the role of a hub for sales and IT. Initially, the headquarters will be located in Dublin 2, with the company planning a move to a larger office as growth requirements dictate.

Marin Software Inc is based in San Francisco, California, and Ireland’s Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, TD, said the company’s establishment of its international headquarters in Dublin, with the creation of 35 jobs, is a further boost for the capital and for the ICT sector in Ireland.

Chris Lien, CEO and founder of Marin, who spearheaded Marin’s recent listing on the New York Stock Exchange, said, “We chose Ireland due to its successful technology and software cluster, the availability of digital and multilingual talent, and its pro-business environment. We look forward to supporting the Irish economy with these new jobs.”

The CEO of IDA Ireland Barry O’Leary added that the establishment of the new headquarters is a welcome boost to Ireland’s strong existing software and technology base.

“The new headquarters is expected to be a strategic centre for Marin and to have a central role in growing the company’s international revenues,” O’Leary said

“The online advertising industry is growing at a rate of 15pc to 20pc annually and Marin’s presence here will further add to Ireland’s attractiveness for companies in this dynamic space,” he added.
