EMC reveals executive appointments in Ireland and UK

13 Aug 2013

Global high-tech multinational company EMC has made two executive appointments in Ireland and the UK, boosting Jason Ward into the role of director for EMC Ireland, Scotland and UK North, and Gerry Murray into the position of EMC Ireland country manager.

Murray takes up the EMC Ireland country manager role from Ward.

In his new role, Ward will focus on driving EMC’s cloud, big data and IT strategy to boost the company’s growth and leadership in Ireland, Scotland and the northern region of the UK.

Murray also held a previous role at EMC Ireland, that of public sector manager. In that position, he helped establish the company’s market position in Ireland, particularly in the health and education sectors.

Both appointments back EMC’s growth strategy in Ireland, where the company recently announced 200 new jobs and the opening of a new office in Cork.
