Co Galway firm Neylon Maintenance to create 25 new jobs

14 Oct 2013

Facility management services firm Neylon Maintenance is to create 25 new jobs at its headquarters in Loughrea, Co Galway. The indigenous Irish company is generating the new jobs as part of a €1m investment in a new software support centre.

The company has already started recruiting for the new positions and the plan is to grow the head count to a full complement of 25 people. Building work on the new centre is to start this week.

Sylvester Neylon, now director, founded the company in 2004.

Neylon Maintenance currently employs about 276 people around Ireland. It supplies services in cleaning, catering, security and landscaping to the private hospital sector, nursing homes, educational institutions and state bodies.

The centre will support the development and distribution of the company’s next-gen facility management software, dubbed Flex FMS.

The new cloud-based application will provide for the integration and management of critical information and enable facility managers to better control their operations and improve their compliance performance.

Neylon said the company has had what he described as “major” national and international interest in its Flex FMS software.

The company, he said, is anticipating a “huge demand” for this software, particularly driven by organisations that need to set in stone high standards of compliance in today’s regulatory and economic environment.

“Our decision to re-invest in Loughrea reflects our commitment to the local community and reflects the confidence we have in the quality of the workforce in east Galway,” he said.
