HostSure Northern Ireland creates 14 jobs in Derry

4 Dec 2013

An increase in business activity has spurred cloud infrastructure services provider HostSure Northern Ireland to create 14 jobs in Derry.

Invest Northern Ireland’s Jobs Fund is providing stg£98,000 in support for the expansion, which includes new jobs for a programmers, a software tester, and help desk operators.

“We identified a contract opportunity involving 24/7 helpdesk support and software development but needed to get a team in place to capitalise on this new business,” said Robbie O’Brien, director of HostSure Northern Ireland.

“The availability of skills combined with support from Invest NI’s Jobs Fund encouraged us to base this team in the north-west. We are pleased with the progress so far and hope to be in a position to further expand our workforce in the near future.”

Ian Murphy, Invest NI’s director of Growth and Scaling, said HostSure Northern Ireland is a young and ambitious company and its decision to expand in Derry is an important win for the area.

“The 14 new jobs will generate more than stg£270,000 annually in additional salaries, benefiting the local economy and north-west region. To have all of these jobs in place within a four-month time frame reflects the effectiveness of Invest NI’s Jobs Fund, which was designed to help businesses create jobs quickly.”

Applying for a Jobs Fund grant is easy and can be done by completing a short enquiry form online, or by calling 0800 181 4422.
