In our employer insights series, Ryan Morehouse, who leads Dropbox’s user operations team in Dublin, gives us an insight into what it’s like to work for the disruptive cloud storage player that now has more than 200m users worldwide.

Dropbox counts U2’s Bono and The Edge among its investors and was recently reported to be gunning for an US$8bn valuation. The decision to locate its international headquarters in Dublin was announced this time last year, bringing the company to the country that has since been named by Forbes as the best place in the world to do business.

Since December 2012, Dropbox has been building a team of experienced technology executives, as well as recent graduates capable of bringing the culture of the head office in San Francisco, California, to the new operation in Dublin.

Morehouse explains how every new hire at the Dublin office will be shipped off to San Francisco for awhile to learn the ropes there. While we’ve already gleaned an insight into what it’s like to be a Dropbox employee from our Trading Places series, Morehouse offers additional key information on the kind of people they’re seeking to join their team.

The Look Inside video series offers an insight into our Featured Employers and the types of roles and candidates that companies are looking for.
