Japanese firm to create 100 jobs in Co Antrim

Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd is to create 100 jobs at its Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, plant on the back of a stg£32m investment.

The Japanese-owned company manufactures aluminium die casting products for the European car market and the investment is in new machinery to help Ryobi expand its range of products.

The news jobs involve installation of this new machinery, RTÉ reported.

Once all 100 jobs are filled, the total headcount at Ryobi in Carrickfergus will be 386.
