Fidelity Investments and Junior Achievement Ireland empowers women for tech careers

6 Mar 2014

One hundred fifty women will receive the inside scoop on future technology jobs and careers open to them after graduation at Fidelity Investments offices in Dublin and Galway tomorrow.

Fidelity Investments has partnered with non-profit organisation Junior Achievement Ireland to close the gap between school and the working world. The two organisations aim to do this by reinforcing the importance of education and exploring the types of opportunities students can access after finishing school.

The event at Fidelity Investments’ offices tomorrow, the day before International Women’s Day, will feature presentations and interactive workshops.

Fidelity associates will also be on hand to share their own career experiences and discuss topics such as communication, skills and interests, and CV and interview skills.

The 150 women taking part in the event include 120 fifth-year students from St Joseph’s College in Lucan, Dublin, who will visit the Dublin office in Citywest, and 30 fifth-year students from Mercy College, Newtonsmith, who will visit the Galway office in Parkmore.
