Old favourites as well as a fresh approach to connecting talent with opportunity will feature at the eighth edition of Career Zoo on 13 September, a Dublin event that is more than just a career fair for professionals and graduates.
“We are gearing up for what will be our biggest event so far,” said Brian Ó’hOisín, director of Career Zoo.
Making a debut at the next Career Zoo will be a new launch and networking event, as well as colour keys at employers’ stands that will tell attendees what types of roles are available at that particular employer, for example, green for tech, blue for finance, and red for sales.
“This speeds up the networking process and ensures that organisations get to speak to plenty of the right candidates on the day,” said Ó’hOisín.
What goes on at Career Zoo
Career Zoo will bring back its Career Workshop series, a Career Clinic, where attendees can obtain career advice, Tech Town, a platform that showcases Irish tech companies, and Tech Box, which will host tech activities.
As always, Ireland’s leading employers, research establishments and enterprise organisations will be on hand to meet with smart, ambitious candidates who are looking to advance their careers.
“The major focus will be on tech employers, event speakers, career progression, product/innovation showcasing, start-ups, R&D and networking,” said Ó’hOisín.
Upwards of 10,000 professionals and graduates are expected to attend the 13 September Career Zoo, which will take place again in the Convention Centre Dublin.
Based on previous Career Zoos, some 55.2pc of attendees seek opportunities in tech, 74pc of them are skilled, experienced professionals, and 48pc of them are either bilingual or multilingual.
