Med and fitness tech player 3D4Medical to create 50 jobs in Dublin

3D4Medical, an Irish med-tech and fitness company whose apps have been downloaded 15m times on desktop and mobile, is to create 50 new jobs in Dublin.

3D4Medical has developed more than 19 apps that have reached No 1 in the download charts across iOS, Mac, Windows and Android Stores.

Its ‘Essential Anatomy’ desktop and mobile application has been the No 1 iPad and desktop (medical category) app in the US for the last 18 months and is currently No 1 in 95 countries worldwide.

“Mobile and desktop medical applications are causing a revolution in science and medical education,” said CEO John Moore, who co-founded the company in 2004 with Niall Johnson.

“3D4Medical are world leaders in building content and technology that makes medicine and science accessible.”

The company will create 50 new jobs in the Irish capital over the next two years and will create high-value jobs in R&D, sales and marketing.

“We continue our impressive growth and innovation record at much faster pace in the next two years,” Moore added.
