Financial software player Sidetrade to create 90 jobs in Dublin

11 Sep 2014

French financial software company Sidetrade is to create 90 new jobs in Dublin at a new Shared Services Centre in the city.

The 90 jobs will mostly encompass accounting and financial professionals, marketing and lead generation teams, and customer support personnel in a number of languages to serve companies throughout the EMEA.

“Our aim is to get closer to our clients in terms of culture and time zones while offering the convenience of multilingual support,” said Olivier Novasque, CEO at Sidetrade Group.

“Dublin is a fantastic hub for technology and innovation, which are Sidetrade’s main pillars. Dublin and Ireland hosts a wealth of candidates, especially within the multilingual sectors, who are well educated and motivated to succeed in their careers.

“The IDA team was a significant value-add in our development in Ireland and have been valuable partners in helping Sidetrade establish this pan-European platform,” Novasque said.

Richard Bruton, Minister of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, said the investment shows the IDA’s newest strategy of increasing its staff in growth markets is bearing fruit.

“We have put extra IDA staff in growth markets and increased the number of trade missions to allow us to include new destinations,” Bruton said.

“Today’s announcement that Sidetrade, a leading French software company, is opening a new office in Dublin with the creation of 90 jobs, is a great boost for this strategy.”

Financial pulses through the cloud

Sidetrade enables businesses to digitise the management of their financial relationships with customers through cash and credit management services, as well as debt-collection software.

The company’s technology is compatible with most enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Sidetrade has sales in 65 countries and supports 69,000 users from companies of all sizes worldwide via the cloud to boost cash-flow generation.

“As part of our worldwide efforts to attract businesses to Ireland, IDA Ireland targets European companies through our offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt,” IDA Ireland’s new chief executive Martin Shanahan said.

“As a French company based in Paris and listed on NYSE, Sidetrade is a particularly welcome addition to the increasing number of fast-growth companies basing their business services operations in Ireland. IDA Ireland looks forward to more investment from the European market in the coming years.”
