Nitro’s fresh funding good news for Ireland

4 Nov 2014

Software company Nitro has announced US$15m in funding, with its Dublin office the focus of attention and a new data centre set for Ireland.

Back in 2013 Nitro established its EMEA headquarters in Ireland’s capital, with 50 jobs originally planned at the facility. Since then, growth expectations have doubled, with plans to hire more than 100 staff by the end of 2016.

“With 30 employees and a new larger Dublin office on One Grand Parade now in place, the expansion in Europe has coincided with over 50pc growth in EMEA customers since opening the Dublin office at the Web Summit last year,” says the company.

Nitro has also announced plans to open an Irish data centre by the middle of next year.

“Options are currently being scoped out and the move will represent a significant multi-million euro investment.”

To support growth in EMEA, Nitro has appointed Niall Gilmore as regional director, EMEA, to the area’s leadership team.

Nitro’s Dublin office is actively hiring for a range of positions, including multilingual sales, account management, customer service, and operations staff, as well as engineering and product roles.

Nitro has more than 490,000 customers in nearly 200 countries, comprising leading Irish organisations such as AIB, Bank of Ireland, Tullow Oil and more than 50pc of the Fortune 500.

Companies use Nitro to eliminate paper-based processes such as printing, faxing, and scanning, and Nitro’s software helps users share, sign, approve, track and collaborate on documents faster and more securely.
