IT services player Ammeon to create 30 tech jobs in Dublin City

7 Nov 2014

Irish IT professional services company Ammeon is to create 30 new highly-skilled jobs in Dublin’s city centre.

The company, which specialises in IT-based transformation projects, currently employs 140 people and has been growing rapidly in recent years.

Turnover has been increasing by 25pc year-on-year since 2009 and revenues for 2014 are expected to reach €10.5m.

Clients include a number of mobile and fixed line operators in Ireland and the UK, Irish semi-state organisations, global network equipment providers and BSS/OSS vendors.

The company will begin filling the new positions, comprising software development, test automation and DevOps roles, immediately.

The news follows a strong week of job creation with over 800 jobs created in one week alone, including 300 new jobs in Dublin at Amazon.

Spearheading IT transformation

“Ammeon is the largest indigenous provider of IT-based transformation projects,” explained Ammeon’s CEO Fred Jones.

“We enable our customers deliver their software and services in a faster, more cost effective way to their customers. Through agile methodologies, continuous integration and delivery we help our customers develop and launch products and services faster, ‘accelerating IT delivery’.

“Focusing on this area has allowed Ammeon to grown strongly in recent years, winning significant new business in Ireland and internationally.

“Given the strong and growing need for IT transformations across a wider variety of industries, we are confident our strong performance will continue. In 2015 we will be targeting continued international growth, including expansion into at least two new EU markets.”

The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland.

“Through Enterprise Ireland, we are supporting great Irish companies – from high-growth technology companies in our cities, to more traditional food and manufacturing companies across the country – to start-up, grow, win markets and create jobs,” Jobs Minister Richard Bruton explained.

“Ammeon is a highly innovative technology company which is selling its services in Ireland and overseas, growing rapidly and creating high-skilled jobs.”
