Vulcan Solutions announces 15 new jobs in Galway

10 Nov 2014

Taoiseach Enda Kenny announced 15 new jobs at technology company Vulcan Solutions during his visit to the company’s office in Galway today.

A provider of customer relationship management systems (CRM) to the higher education and government sectors in Ireland, Vulcan Solutions has announced expansion plans into the UK market and is targeting annualised revenue growth of €1.1 million by 2016.

Vulcan Solutions has received market access grant funding from Enterprise Ireland to develop its export business in the UK, and hopes to use this to conduct extensive market research in the UK and identify suitable channel partners.

The recruitment drive will commence immediately with new positions created in sales, research and development, consulting and implementation. This investment will create a centre of excellence for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, with international reach.

“I am delighted to announce these 15 high-value roles at Vulcan Solutions, which are a real success for a home grown enterprise,” said Kenny. “The expansion of this indigenous IT company is a great example of how Irish businesses can compete and succeed in global markets. The Government will continue, through our Action Plan for Jobs, to provide strong backing to enterprise and entrepreneurs so that they can create the jobs to secure our economic recovery.”

Speaking at the expansion announcement, Vulcan Solutions CEO Cian McNamara said: “Today is a very significant day for Vulcan Solutions. With Enterprise Ireland’s support we are building an export business in the UK that we expect to be worth €700,000 by 2017.

“We see immediate opportunities for our business in the UK Higher Education sector, where organisations are investing in CRM solutions to enhance their student recruitment activities, to improve their student services and to enable them to maintain lifelong relationships with their alumni.

“We have ambitious plans for continued growth; over the next 12 months, we plan to recruit 15 people for roles in sales, research and development, consulting and implementation, increasing our head count by over 50pc.”
