10 web designer memes draw out funny side of job

Web design has changed in recent years, what with mobile devices and responsive design entering the equation. This week’s career memes pay tongue-in-tribute to those who pull all those factors together – web designers.

What they do: Web designers create the look, ‘feel’ and layout of a website, and its associated features, and maintain and may build upon these features. They may often work with development teams, project managers and clients.

What they dont do: Spin cobwebs.

Educational requirements: An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree. A background in graphic design and/or computer programming is also useful.

Required skills: Strong understanding of programming lanaguages and graphics software, ability to meet deadlines and take and work with feedback. 

Salary: In Ireland, a web designer can expect to earn an average salary of €28,736, according to PayScale.com.
