Business social network LinkedIn recently rolled out its list of The World’s 100 Most In Demand Employers: 2014 and every single company in the top 10 has an Irish presence.

Of those companies in the top 10, half are major technology companies: internet search giant Google (No 1), consumer tech titan Apple (No 2), software company Microsoft (No 4), social network Facebook (No 5) and e-commerce behemoth Amazon (No 6).

The remaining companies in the top 10 of LinkedIn’s The World’s 100 Most In Demand Employers: 2014 list are consumer goods companies Unilever (No 3) and Procter & Gamble (No 7), conglomerate GE (No 8), food and drinks firms Nestle S.A. (No 9) and PepsiCo (No 10).

Google has located its EMEA headquarters in Dublin, as has Microsoft and Facebook.

Amazon also has offices in Dublin, whereas Apple’s Irish presence lies in Cork.

LinkedIn, which has more than 3m members, based its ranking on member awareness and engagement on its site by looking at the number of users who viewed employees’ profiles and how many users followed the company’s Company or Career pages within the last year.

LinkedIn has also revealed the five largest companies and the five smallest companies on its World’s 100 Most In Demand Employers 2014 list, as well as the most represented industries. Just check out this infographic:
