Calypso Technology to create 150 tech jobs in Dublin

3 Dec 2014

Capital markets software player Calypso Technology is to create up to 150 skilled jobs at a new managed services centre in Dublin.

The centre will form the basis of a new professional services model that Calypso intends to offer to global customers.

Calypso is recruiting professionals for a range of areas, such as business, technical analysis, quality assurance, and application support.

The centre will also be focused on developing tools to automate the delivery of services.

“We are very excited to be working with IDA Ireland and the Irish Government in launching this strategic initiative,” said Keith O’Brien, SVP of professional services at Calypso.

“Through this centre, Calypso will proactively address a major challenge global financial institutions face: to reduce the total cost of ownership of their trading, risk and settlement solutions – from deployment to their day-to-day operations.”

The arrival of Calypso in Dublin will add to the growing cluster of financial technology companies active in the city, said IDA Ireland chief executive Martin Shanahan.

“The company’s leading market position as a global capital markets solutions provider will also attract business from financial institutions in the EU and nearby regions to Ireland,” Shanahan said.
