Jarlath Dooley, HR director at Version 1, speaks of the fast growth at the company, looking to hire 100 people this year.

IT services and consulting companyVersion 1 currently employs 600 people in Ireland and the UK, having been set up 18 years ago.

Backing up many revenue systems in Ireland, the company is continually expanding, with positions right across the IT spectrum.

“We’re a broad IT services company,” explains Dooley. “We don’t specialise in any one technology. So it could be Java, Oracle, Microsoft … we hire people right across the stack.”

Dooley and his team are looking for employees, from graduates right up to senior-level professionals.

The new roles not just limited to tech skills, either, business minds are in demand, too.

“A career in consulting is probably the best career an IT person can either start with or move into (…) because you can learn many different systems and technologies,” Dooley says.
