Accenture plans to hire hundreds of people in Ireland this year

25 Feb 2015

Accenture took part in Career Zoo in Dublin recently and its MD for sales, health and public service, EMEA, Graham Healy spoke to us about the company’s plans to hire hundreds of people in Ireland this year.

Last month, the management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company announced it was looking to hire 250 people across a wide range of disciplines by the end of August, with Healy confident the talent required is out there.

The new roles offer opportunities for diverse candidates, from experienced executives to entry level, including graduates.

In particular, Accenture will be recruiting people who have technology, digital and analytical skills, with expertise in areas such as SAP, Oracle, cloud and analytics.

“People with an interest or a background in STEM would have a better chance of starting and continuing early,” said Healy when asked how those with a background outside of tech can transition into the booming industry.

“But what we’re looking for are people who are highly motivated, with a willingness to learn in the area of technology.”
