Which tech companies are the greenest? (infographic)

11 Jul 2014

Recently, several tech companies committed to become standard-bearers for clean energy and to use only renewables to power their services – but how close are they to achieving this goal?

In this infographic from Juice Electrical Supplies, the world’s top tech companies are graded for their ‘green’ performance in terms of energy transparency, renewable energy commitments and deployment, and energy efficiency.

The data visualisation also offers a breakdown of the companies’ energy sources – Apple leading the pack having achieved 100pc green energy – and a timeline of green-energy adoption from September 2011 to November 2013.

Figures from this infographic come from an 83-page report published by Greenpeace in April 2014 – Clicking Clean: How Companies are Creating the Green Internet – and follows a commitment from six major cloud players to 100pc renewable energy.
