Brakes? Check. Steering? Check. Insane mode activated? You bet!

Forever making electric cars cool, Tesla and its founder Elon Musk have been showing off their fun-side with the ‘insane mode’ installed on their latest P85D model on the un-suspecting public.

The car was first launched last October as the electric car company’s flagship model boasting speeds usually seen in high-end petrol-powered cars.

With a top-speed of 249km/h, the four-wheeled car is easily the most powerful on the market, and for those with a lot of spare cash lying around, it is the ultimate guilt-free privilege.

Perhaps, its greatest ability is its acceleration which, going by other electric cars driven not so far from Siliconrepublic.com’s office, is something that needs to be experience.

Of course, being Tesla, the company are not one for doing things by-half, or without a fun-factor, with the option for the driver to select ‘insane mode’ which turns the car into a wild, un-relenting beast capable of achieving 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds, faster than some of the fastest supercars on the market.

The amount of Gs (multiples of gravity) pulled by the driver and their passenger during this Back to the Future-esque speed is greater than falling, according to one P85D owner.

For those taken out on this particular trip by Dragtimes.com however, the child-like glee on their face at such speeds is surely a great advertisement for future electric cars.
