Irish Stock Exchange joins BT’s Radianz global financial cloud
Shay Walsh, managing director of Business, BT Ireland
The Irish Stock Exchange has joined the BT Radianz Cloud of banks, brokers, investment managers and funds in a move that will expand the exchange’s existing international reach for its market data.
The BT Radianz Cloud of more than 15,000 member sites is the world's largest secure networked financial services community that enables global financial markets participants to exchange market information, trade with each other and clear and settle transactions.
The Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) is a stock exchange globally for listing hedge funds and alternative funds and is a listing centre for asset-backed securities, with a 70pc share of this market.
“The BT Radianz Cloud offers us an additional distribution channel, and will deliver to its huge community of users access to ISE bond and fund data, which covers over 4,000 international debt and investment fund issuers from 45 countries around the globe," Mark Scully, head of information technology at the Irish Stock Exchange, explained.
Global finance community
The BT Radianz Cloud community of banks, broker-dealers, investment managers and hedge funds will benefit from fast, cost-effective access to a broad set of new debt and investment fund data from the ISE.
This includes trade information in relation to Irish Government bonds and treasury bills and security reference information for more than 21,000 debt and 7,400 investment fund instruments listed on the ISE's markets.
"The BT Radianz Cloud is an example of the global scale of the services available to Irish business on BT's network," Shay Walsh, managing director of Business, BT Ireland, explained.
“The decision of the ISE to join this community will allow it to benefit from the reach and security of the BT Radianz Cloud infrastructure. Dublin's position as a hub for the worldwide financial-services sector is underlined and strengthened by this relationship," Walsh added.
