Adobe brings landmark software titles to Creative Cloud
Software giant Adobe has launched its new subscription-based Creative Cloud centred around the new family Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS6) software.
Adobe Creative Cloud is effectively to be a hub for making, sharing and delivering creative work via web, video and digital imaging tools.
Membership of Adobe Creative Cloud will be US$49.99 per month with an annual contract.
Existing users of CS3, CS4 and CS5 can subscribe to an introductory offer of US$29 per month.
Creative Suite 6 will include the latest versions of iconic design and creative products like InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Flash Professional.
Subscribers will also be able to access Adobe Muse and Edge, which are new tools for HTML 5 design.
A new era of digital creativity
The Creative Cloud also integrates Adobe touch tools such as Touch Apps and Adobe Ideas with the CS6 desktop applications.
The Creative Cloud will also come with publishing services, such as the ability to easily publish apps, magazines and catalogues to iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
“The urge to be creative is universal, and harnessing the creative spark - in everyone from school children to creative pros - has never been more important," said Shantanu Narayen, president and chief executive officer, Adobe.
“Wherever and whenever inspiration strikes, Adobe will be there to help capture, refine and publish your ideas."
