More companies now see cloud computing as an integral part of their IT strategy, independent research commissioned by Cisco for its annual CloudWatch report recently revealed, and a new infographic examines just why organisations are adopting cloud computing.
Problems with an existing IT setup and the benefits offered by cloud computing are what persuade companies to climb aboard cloud, the infographic published by Yorkshire Cloud on Visual.ly shows.
The infographic also points out the percentage of businesses that will use cloud computing services in the future (41pc by 2014), the value of the cloud computing industry ($240bn by 2020), and the impact cloud computing will have on jobs, IT expenditure, and worldwide data centre energy usage by 2014.
