Samsung Bada app store hits 100m downloads

Samsung has revealed that its mobile and TV app store for the Bada operating system has achieved 100m downloads.

Samsung Apps has about 13,000 apps available that work on devices like the Samsung Wave and various Samsung web-enabled TVs.

France, Germany and Spain were the top three countires which accounted for 40pc of downloads.

The most downloaded apps were Magic Apps’ Magic Torch, EA’s Need for Speed and Gamesloft’s Asphalt 5.

Samsung Bada was launched along with the Wave smartphone in June last year. In 2010 Samsung shipped 5m Bada devices.
