Mobile operator Three and voice over IP (VoIP) provider Blueface have joined forces to bring out a new iPhone app that allows business users to get their landline number on their iPhone.

The app has been enabled through Blueface’s proprietary IP platform provisioning and billing system.

The app is being targeted at the Irish SME market.

Irish businesses currently pay some of the highest landline costs in Europe, with ComReg estimates putting it as much as 40pc higher than the UK (€25 compared to €15 in the UK).

The app was developed in conjunction with telecoms developer firm Vennetics using GSM OneAPI specifications.
