Passengers of Irish airline Aer Lingus will be able to enjoy Wi-Fi during European flights when the company rolls out the service in the middle of next year.
JetBlue Airways subsidiary LiveTV is providing the Wi-Fi service to more than 40 of Aer Lingus’ aircraft. The service will be implemented on a phased basis throughout the fleet, The Irish Times reported.
Aer Lingus has also signed a deal to bring internet access to its long-haul flights early in the new year.
“This initiative is in direct response to customer feedback, from both business and leisure customers alike,” The Irish Times quoted Aer Lingus chief commercial officer Stephen Kavanagh as having said.
“Having direct access to in-cabin Wi-Fi is top of our customers’ wishlists.”
