Vodafone said today it is challenging the current conventions on tariffing by revealing five new Vodafone RED mobile price plans that range in price from €35 a month to €75 per month.

The new Vodafone RED plans replace the existing range of plans which will be phased out.

They start with the new Vodafone RED essentials for €35 per month, which includes 100 minutes to any network, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 5GB of cloud storage.

The €55 per month Vodafone RED signature plan also includes 5GB of cloud, as well as unlimited calls and texts to any network, 100 international minutes and 2GB of data, as well as a new phone every year.

The €75 a month RED Super plan carries the same voice, text and cloud options, as well as the annual phone upgrade as the signature plan but with 6GB of data connectivity instead.

Vodafone RED Business Super also costs €75 per month and has the same phone upgrade, local unlimited calls and texts and 6GB data connectivity as the Super plan, albeit it comes with 750 worldwide voice minutes and 750 worldwide text messages.

Finally, a Vodafone RED 30 contract price plan, which costs €40 every 30 days, comes with unlimited calls and texts to any network and 1GB of data connectivity.

Calling time on complex call charges

“We’re calling time on complex call charges,” Marcel de Groot, consumer director, Vodafone Ireland, explained.

“We’ve looked at how customers are using their mobile devices and what matters most to them. These new plans reflect their changing needs. With Vodafone RED, customers will be able to talk for as long as they want to as many people as they like without wondering about the cost.

“What’s more, they will be able to enjoy as much data as they are ever likely to need – for sharing photos to uploading videos – as well as additional benefits for no extra cost, making Vodafone RED the best value ever for mobile customers,” de Groot said.
