The HTC Desire might just be getting a unibody makeover
It looks as though the next HTC smartphone – rumoured to be called the Ace – may actually be a HD upgrade from the current Desire.
With plenty of rumours circulating around the web, the SuperEtrader.co.uk blog lists the specs that the Desire HD may come equipped with.
How does this stack up against the Desire? Well, the regular, vanilla Desire has a 3.7-inch screen, no HD video capability, runs on Android 2.1 and has a 5-megapixel camera. It has face detection but no tracking and doesn't come with a HTC-on e-book reader although alternatives like the Amazon Kindle app work quite well.
And although the Desire is a smart-looking phone, the news of a unibody aluminium enclosure, like the Legend, is welcome.
While US phone fans have the HTC Evo (4G), those in the UK might have the Desire HD by October.
