Will next-gen iPad have camera?

A reference to disabling the use of a camera in iPad documents on management profile policies for corporate users of the tablet device may be evidence of a camera in the next-generation model.

Deployment scenarios and device configuration for corporate users of the iPad allow for organisations to restrict access to various functions on employee iPads, such as locking down iTunes or YouTube or enabling remote wipe.

As discovered by AppleInsider, the various configuration profile tools for corporate users included a specific reference to disabling a camera but no version of the iPad currently has a camera, which opens up the possibility of a future model having one.

This could mean that the next iPad will have a front-facing camera and will use FaceTime, Apple’s video-conferencing application that was introduced with the iPhone 4, which uses it in combination with two cameras.
