PlayStation has just moved into vacant premises on Dublin’s South William Street, transforming it into a luxurious, state-of-the-art gaming zone called The PlayStation Hub.

The PlayStation Hub is open at 50 South William Street from Friday, 17 September, until Sunday, 14 November.

It gives gamers the chance to experience the new PlayStation Move motion controller for the PlayStation 3, along with a range of other PS3 gaming releases for free.

The premises has been kitted out with six demo areas dedicated to PlayStation Move and a separate gaming zone where gamers can preview some of the PS3’s new game releases, such as Gran Turismo 5 and LittleBigPlanet 2.

“We are delighted to have found the perfect space in the heart of Dublin, where gaming fans can enjoy the very best PlayStation has to offer and at no cost,” said Niall O’Hanrahan, managing director of Sony Computer Entertainment Ireland.

“We are confident that the PlayStation Hub will prove very popular with gaming fans of all levels over the next two months.”

PlayStation Move launches in Ireland on Friday, 17 September.

It combines the PlayStation Eye camera, a dynamic colour-changing sphere, vibration function and a button interface.

Players’ movements are registered by the motion controller’s advanced motion sensors and the PlayStation Eye USB Camera, allowing players to use the controller for countless purposes in-game.

Sports Champions, Start the Party, Eyepet, The Shoot, The Fight, Heavy Rain Move Edition and Kung Fu rider will be available to play on the PlayStation Move at the PlayStation Hub.

Visitors will be in with a chance to win a PS3 and PlayStation Move starter pack. More information is available at Sony PlayStation Ireland’s Facebook page.
