HP updates its Mini range

HP has updated its Mini companion PC range, with new products for the consumer, business and education markets. This includes the HP Mini 210, the HP Mini 5103 and the HP Mini 100e.

HP Mini 210

The HP Mini 210 is a companion PC for mobile consumers, providing portable computing.

Created for consumers who surf the web, check email, listen to music and access friends and family on the go, the Mini 210 includes a built-in WLAN, webcam, microphone and an almost full-sized island-style keyboard.

It’s equipped with the latest Intel Atom processor with DDR3 memory support.

It’s less than 3cm thick and weighs 1.46kg. It provides up to 10.5 hours of battery life and is available in five HP Imprint finishes.

The HP Mini 210 also offers a 25.cm (10.1-inch) screen and Dolby Advanced Audio for multimedia.

It also includes the HP Media Suite software, HP Quick sync for synchronising files with a home PC over a wireless network and Evernote for note taking.

The HP Mini 210 starts at €399.

HP Mini 5103

The HP Mini 5103 is a full performance PC designed for mobile professionals and higher education students.

It supports Intel’s latest Atom processors with DDR3 memory.

The Mini 5103 is available in standard or touch-enabled versions, and has an optional handle for easy transport.

It also has a 95pc full size QWERTY, spill resistant keyboard and a touch pad for easy use. The optimal touchscreen offers intuitive use, through multitouch gestures, finger taps and swipes across the screen for improved navigation.

The Mini 5103 has a 25.7cm (10.1-inch) screen, available in either WSVGA or HD.

It also includes HP DayStarter software, which has a 12-hour customised calendar display, offering quick access to appointments and battery status while Windows starts up.

The HP Mini 5103 is available with a starting price of €559.

HP Mini 100e Education Edition

The HP Mini 100e features a clamshell design and weighs 1.45kg.

It has a 25.7cm screen, a 92pc full size QWERTY, spill resistant keyboard and an integrated carrying handle.

The Mini 100e has an optional Wi-Fi Certified WLAN and integrated worldwide modem.

This allows for dial-up internet connection for students who wish to go online in remote areas .

It also has separate headphone and MIC ports and a VGA webcam.

The Mini 100e is a highly durable device for the classroom, including strong metal alloy hinges with steel pin axles.

It also has a customisable back panel, keyboard deck and bottom case, letting users personalise it with their school logo or a picture.

The Mini 100e has a low-power Intel atom N455 processor and Intel NM10 Express chipset to allow it to run cooler, use less power and improve battery life.

It comes with productivity, education and security software from Microsoft, including Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Math and Microsoft Security Essentials.
