HP adds to its photo printing portfolio

21 Sep 2010

HP is expanding its retail publishing portfolio with new software and hardware solutions to help retailers benefit from high-end creative photo products.

They will show three new products at the international Photokina tradeshow this week in Cologne, Germany – the HP Photosmart Minilab ML2000D, the HP Photo Center Compact Instant Print Solution and the HP Photo Creations software.

HP Photosmart Minilab ML2000D

The HP Photosmart Minilab ML2000D is the fastest dry printing minilab in the market, according to HP.

It can print borderless single-sided photos and also borderless double-sided photo products, letting retailers offer a wide variety of creative merchandise for photobooks and greeting cards.

The ML200D can deliver 55 photobooks per hour and prints 10 x 15cm (6 x 4 inch) photos at a rate of up to 15,000 per hour.

Its six-ink system delivers high quality, waterproof prints.

It also offers benefits from reduced labour and maintenance costs. Top workflow capabilities free up labour so sales assistants can focus on customer service.

HP Photo Center Compact Instant Print Solution

The HP Photo Center Compact Instant Print Solution is made for limited floor space and serves well for relatively low print volume needs.

It’s a small, self-service system that lets consumers place orders for instant pickup of photos, enlargements, cards, calendars, single-sided photo books and CDs.

HP Photo Creations Software

The HP Photo Creations Software allows customers to turn their pictures into professional quality photo creations at home.

Customers can create artistic projects in minutes and personalise them with themes, text effects and graphics.

This can be sent to a retailer for in-store pickup or printed at home.

It comes pre-loaded with millions of HP consumer PCs and printers.
