Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy S II

Samsung has revealed two new Android devices at the Mobile World Congress – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The new Galaxy Tab, as rumoured on Friday, will run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb and sports a 10.1-inch screen.

Weighing 599g, it offers a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel camera at the back. The tablet has a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution display and offers full HD recording.

It also has USB 2.0 connectivity and storage of either 16 or 32 GB.

According to reports, Vodafone has signed a deal to exclusively sell the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe and Asia in March 2011.

The next Galaxy S phone will be the thinnest smartphone in the world, at just 8.5mm.

The phone will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Similar to the Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy S II will have a 2-megapixel camera on the front, an 8-megapixel camera at the back and full HD recording capabilities. It includes optional NFC technology.

The Samsung Galaxy S II will be available in parts of Europe from this month on.
